On this page I explain what personal data I collect through edgarmelo.es, what I use it for and what your rights are, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, EU 2016/679) and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 on the Protection of Personal Data and Guarantee of Digital Rights (LOPDGDD).

What data I collect
When you write to me through the contact form, by email or via WhatsApp, I collect the data you provide: your name, email address, type of project and the content of your message. I do not collect special categories of personal data, and I ask you not to include any in your messages.
What I use your data for
- To reply to your enquiry and, if you wish, prepare a quote.
- To manage our professional relationship if we end up working together.
I do not use your data to send you advertising or newsletters, and I do not make automated decisions or build profiles with it.
Legal basis
The legal basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form or by writing to me on your own initiative (Art. 6.1.a GDPR). If we reach a professional agreement, the basis will be the performance of a contract or of pre-contractual measures (Art. 6.1.b GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time.
How long I keep it
I keep your data for as long as our communication lasts and, at most, for one year from the last contact if we do not end up working together. If there is a professional relationship, I will keep it for as long as necessary to meet my legal, tax and accounting obligations.
Who it is shared with
I do not share your data with third parties unless required by law. For the website to work, some providers may access it solely to provide their services to me: the web hosting provider and the email provider. If you write via WhatsApp, that service’s privacy terms also apply.
Cookies
This website does not use analytics or advertising cookies. It may only use technical cookies necessary for it to work. Some embedded third-party content, such as Vimeo or YouTube videos, may set their own cookies under their own policies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Your rights
You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and data portability by writing to me at hola@edgarmelo.es, stating which right you wish to exercise. If you believe I have not handled your data properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, www.aepd.es).

I may update this policy to reflect legal changes or changes in how the website works. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this page.
